With movement of 1 or 2 feet at the tip of the arm, a human is 6 feet tall, and can only bend at the knee, it's easy for the movement of the arm to impact a human against the bottom of the orbiter.

The Solid Rocket Boosters fell away, splashed down into the sea, recovered, and the video removed back in the hanger.
This is just a preview. Each of the 2 SRBs had 3 cameras on them that ran during the entire launch.
