That's what I was thinking. Our American genius versus THEIR Medieval thought process...

Also check out http://skyandtelescope.com/observing/almanac/ for the space station flying by your area visibly in your timezone that you set. Be sure to mark Daylight Savings Time.

I love watching the ISS fly by and get so disappointed when weather keeps me from seeing it!

We have a close ISS pass in Phoenix tonite and tomorrow, shuttle will be right behind it.

Its really cool when you see them a few hours before dock, they are parallel stars going across the sky.

I think Cernan's Last Man On The Moon was excellent.

Of course, I did get him to autograph my copy at the event at KSC for the 30th anniversay of the Moon landing in 1999.  I also got to talk to him for about 30 minutes early that morning.  Showing up disgustingly early for events like that sometimes pay off <g>

I love his line (part of which he used in his autograph to me)

"Shoot for the Moon.  Even if you miss, you'll end up among the stars."

I do want to get Mullane's book, though.  I heard him talk about it and it sounds fascinating.
