The United States should consider a proposal for expanding. A United States of America with the lands and peoples of Canada and Mexico would make a country larger than Russia, and with a higher birthrate.
And while the United States does have a common culture, there are already regional variants (as there are in Mexico and Canada), and so Canadians and Mexicans could keep some of their culture (Anglophone Canada almost all, except for the spelling and a few idioms). Mexicans and Quebe <ç> ois would have to become fluent in English, though Spanish and French could technically be a secondary language (Hawaiian is in Hawaii, Spanish is in New Mexico, and French is in Louisiana).
