Now, if we can just ban the debate teams, for inciting such divisiveness, which is harmful to our youth! </sarc>

Glenn says if the Forest Hills School Board in Michigan "truly cared about young people who are ensnared by deviant behavior, they would tell them the truth that homosexuality is harmful and to be avoided." The family advocate explains that no school is mandated to allow clubs that promote deviancy. Precisely.

Regardless of how they couch it, they are promoting a lifestyle that leads to a huge incidence of disease and premature death. They may as well be endosring clubs advocating the drug culture, or fast food cuisine......

The board claims the federal Equal Access Act requires schools to allow sex-based clubs. 1) Then I guess they would have to allow the Hetro Pride club as well. A group of Christian students should start one.
2) I'm going to look up that federal act. I have a suspicion that the board might be reading more into it than it really requires.

So if less than 2% of the population accounts for 60% of all AIDS cases, then they are about 75 times more likely to get AIDS. They are better off promoting a young smokers club.

Who is at Risk for Getting HIV/AIDS?
The breakdown of cumulative AIDS cases reported through December 2000 in the United States is as follows:
· Men who have sex with men: 355,409 cases (46 percent);
· Injecting drug use: 193, 527 cases (25 percent);
· Heterosexual contact: 81,981 cases (11 percent);
· Men who have sex with men and inject drugs: 48,989 cases (6 percent);
· Recipient of blood transfusion: 8,777 cases (1 percent);
· Hemophilia/coagulation disorder: 5,190 cases (1 percent). [3]
What Do These Statistics Tell Us About the Link Between Homosexuality and AIDS?
The CDC statistics indicate that homosexual behavior far exceeds every other exposure category for contracting AIDS. The categories "men who have sex with men" and "men who have sex with men and inject drugs" together comprise 52 percent of all AIDS cases. In addition, the category "heterosexual contact" includes the sub-categories of "sex with bisexual male" and "sex with HIV-infected person"--many of whom presumably were homosexuals. Finally, the risk factor of 9 percent of AIDS cases is listed as "not reported or identified," and homosexuality may well be a causative factor in many of those cases.[4]
