Maybe neither. From what I've read about Jefferson, he was a pretty conflicted guy.

If it was up to the NYT, Clinton would have been recommended for a CMH for his failed action against OBL. Well this is America and the voice of opposition is a given right. We're stuck with the NYT if we like it or not. The NYT will go down eventually like the Herald Tribune, the Daily Mirror, and American Journal. They were all NYC papers that lost readers. My folks bought the NYT on Sundays, it was a handy large paper for wrapping fish guts for Monday's garbage pick up.
