We had a tornado two days ago, and we aren't even in tornado country. I couldn't believe it when they started telling people to pull off the road and stay in their cars and then I realized it was for real.
One tractor trailer was pushed by the wind into the center median, and then picked up and turned around facing the opposite direction.
There was other destruction, but fortunately no lives lost.

Excuse me, swmobuffalo, and I'm not trying to be funny, but are you saying that they named a town "Potato"?

Where in MO? I was born there, and know the area somewhat, so am curious.

Wolfstar - Several weeks ago I caught a poster replying to himself - he obviously forgot to change screen names. I called him on it and he never responded nor posted again on that thread. A BushBasher on one of the immigration threads.
Thanks for the ping - looking forward to the dose.

I understand our Veep was quite a hit at the Nascar thing.I'm sure he was. One media report said that there was polite applause after his speech. SPIT I knew better.

Thanks, Wolf ... very interesting about the multiple internet ID's ... I know it's done, but technologically, I haven't got a clue how it's done or what special software it must take.
How 'bout Crawford for your new sweet wheels?

It's been a learning experience and I don't look at posters, especially those who are are constantly negative and condemn the president, with the same naivety.Hi Peach. Thank YOU for encouraging me to share it with others.
As I mentioned at the top of this thread, some people with negative opinions are honest and sincere. Others are operatives, paid or volunteer, for not only the Dims, but fringe groups on the hard right. And others definitely are the multi-screen name types.

Snugs, that's a terrific photo of the VP's motorcade doing a lap around the Daytona speedway. He appeared to really enjoy himself, and so did his granddaughter. You know, most of the NASCAR drivers bring their familes along on raceday, so there were plenty of children her about her age there if she wanted to meet them.

Oh, now THAT'S fascinating. LOL! I'm so glad you caught him.
I have come across at least one that I thought had two FR names, but decided that couldn't be true. Even better that Wolfstar has alerted us to their tricks.

We might be able to "out" some trolls if we watch for the clues. It's certainly possible, although it would be difficult. I just think it's useful for the good folks here to keep it in the back of their minds that some degree of this kind of thing is going on.
Elections show time and time again that many of the most angry sorts that infest political websites are actually a very small percentage of voters. They seem to have a huge voice here because, frankly, the entire active FR population is relatively small.

We always knew the Dims had multiple personalities, so I guess I'm not particularly surprised.
Crawford sounds sort of Texan, but I don't know why. Kind of cool though.
Thanks.

'Egged on' by various left/right bloggers, they're already hitting talk radio hard! Yes, and they do similar things on political web forums such as this. The whole idea is to sow division and doubt, as well as to make it seem there are many more of them than we think is the case.

Benecke has undergone 36 rounds of chemotherapy in a four-year battle against bone cancer. So tragic. Andrew seems like a wonderful young man. Sigh. With all the downright rotten people in this world, why do good ones like Andrew have to suffer so young with cancer.

I just think everyone thinks as I do. Guess we can't be too careful, huh! No, we can't be too careful, especially on the wild and wooly new frontier known as the internet.

Having a conversation with oneself can be tricky for the more amateurish people who do this sort of thing.
