Just wanted to you to know FOX National News just annouced a National Breaking Fox News Alert that there was a severe Thunderstorm warning in DC. With all the breaking graphics and sound effects. Ohh, The Nation is now informed and I feel safer. Oh and penny size hell. DOesnt the National Weather Service break in to these local Broadcast anyway -make loud buzzing noises and run alerts and scroll all this stuff on the bottom of the screen anyway.
Perhaps some politicians will be struck by lightning.
Now there's one to watch!
I would have thought Hell would have to be a lot bigger to accommodate Washington, D.C.
OMG...my daughter's in Georgetown right now.....ya' mean she might get rained on?!?....Oh the humanity!!!!
It apparently bothers you greatly that Fox News is doing its job.
LOL, I mean they are going to have some strong gust, but I can' quite remember when FOX National News broke in with all the drama and said my area would have a severe thunderstorm warning.
I'm here in Nevada and a severe thunderstorm warning in DC is at least of passable interest to me.
Why does it seem to offend you so?
It sounds like the poster is actually more worried that Fox is doing it's job with cool graphics.
Damn those graphics to hell! :>D
Doing its job. No it bothers it me that Fox News runs alerts that make always make my heart skip a beat and it involves things from every dasy Storms in areas to the fire department rescuing a cat from a tree. I just find it to be annoying and funny at the same time.
Yes, but can you roast marshmallows over penny hells?
"dasy Storms"
Man.
Dasy storms are the worst.
I much prefer dandelion downpours.....:)
I would not say I was offended. I guess I am finding these Fox News alerts to be both annoying and funny as I posted. I just wondering why there is a need to break into a national news channel for such a local story. However, it appears that the whole World enjoys it and think its great so I shall endure this curious programming Choice that Fox is constantly making in silence.
Damn those graphics to (penny size) hell!
Floods, now thunderstorms and hail on D.C.. Next are the frogs and locust?
I can see where you're coming from.
When we first got FoxNews on our cable, I jumped every time one of those 'dire warning' alerts came on.
Now, I'm pretty numb to them.
If they ever announce that global nuclear warfare has just commenced, I probably won't even know about it until I see the flash....:)
My Teacher gave a curious smile. Look, he said, and with the word he went down on his hands and knees. I did the same (how it hurt my knees!) and presently saw that he had plucked a blade of grass. Using its thin end as a pointer, he made me see, after I had looked very closely, a crack in the soil so small that I could not have identified it without this aid.Do you mean then that Hellall that infinite empty townis down in some little crack like this?
Yes. All Hell is smaller than one pebble of your earthly world: but it is smaller than one atom of this world, the Real World. Look at yon butterfly. If it swallowed all Hell, Hell would not be big enough to do it any harm or to have any taste.
It seems big enough when youre in it, Sir.
And yet all loneliness, angers, hatreds, envies and itchings that it contains, if rolled into one single experience and put into the scale against the least moment of the joy that is felt by the least in Heaven, would have no weight that could be registered at all. Bad cannot succeed even in being bad as truly as good is good. If all Hells miseries together entered the consciousness of yon wee yellow bird on the bough there, they would be swallowed up without trace, as if one drop of ink had been swallowed into that Great Ocean to which your terrestrial Pacific itself is only a molecule."
- C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce
YEah and then they had a whole combination of them. I mean I can see the one they just need on Roger Ebert and his serious condition but every time a big holiday comes around and FOx does these alerts I have am expecting them to annouce that terrorist just attacked the National Mall or something. It gives always gives me a start. I have email Fox but like my 20 other suggestions it is ignored (sigh)
