I'm here in Nevada and a severe thunderstorm warning in DC is at least of passable interest to me.

Why does it seem to offend you so?

I would not say I was offended. I guess I am finding these Fox News alerts to be both annoying and funny as I posted. I just wondering why there is a need to break into a national news channel for such a local story. However, it appears that the whole World enjoys it and think its great so I shall endure this curious programming Choice that Fox is constantly making in silence.

I bet everyone has noticed, to FOX News, every tidbit of information merits "Breaking news" logo, loud musical alerts, and a breathless anchor(ette) making the announcement. So I'm not surprised news of DC storms merits their special attention, especially since some museums were closed last week to protect from water damage.

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't make it through the day without my FOXNews fix. I love FOXNews, but I surely do wish "hair on fire" delivery wasn't their standing order.
