You 're 100% right, Morgan. Fox people should behave like they did 6 years ago, when they were gaining conservatives giving a balance to the other MSM.

Kerry wouldn't be caught dead with a lowly congressman like Murtha.

Wrong. Kerry has been on the campaign trail raising money for Dem candidates all over the country. He is building up some IOUs for 2008. Kery has already spoken out numerous times in defense of Murtha.

"I won't stand for the swift-boating of Jack Murtha," said Kerry. "There is no sterner stuff than the backbone and courage that defines Jack Murtha's character and conscience."

I'm surprised that Mrs. Greenspan asked Kerry what the Dimm's plan is ;-)

McCain and others think our soldiers and the terrorists should both come under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

This is a joke, right?

Not sure if this what you are asking about Safire mentioning the Founding Fathers:
Bennett mentioned the founding Fathers and Priest mentioned the Framers of the constitution and how it related to Govt oversight defending revealing "secret" programs as it was not against the law.

Safire remarked something to the effect that members of press were elected by
The founding fathers who came up with the amendement to allow the press to report for checks and balances. (not a direct quote)

On MTP right now the MSM is proving beyond any doubt that they consider themselves above the law, and that they are anti-American. Safire included.

Democrats, old media and the left will stop at nothing to disparage the war on terror or what is really going on in Iraq, Afghanistan or other areas.

Since they believe the end justifies the means, they are willing to say or do anything to win back power in DC.

McCain and others think our soldiers and the terrorists should both come under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Under the UCMJ virtually all of the "enemy combatants" would be subject to execution for murder because they violated the Geneva Conventions by waging war in the manner they have.

Sounds fine to me.  Of course, that's not what Saint John has in mind.

Audacity is the best foil of ignorance.

Definition --- foil (noun) ---- a repulse; a setback.

You are not clear (to me), johnny7.

Audacity GOES RIGHT ALONG with ignorance! It is NOT a foil.

When I read the words of Bill Keller ...... this comes to mind:
"There will never be a shortage of ignorant audacity." – T. Sowell

I prefer Mark Twain myself

"How often we recall, with regret, that Napoleon once shot at a magazine editor and missed him and killed a publisher. But we remember with charity, that his intentions were good.

- Letter to Henry Mills Alden, published in the Chicago Daily Tribune, November 11, 1906, pg. 3.

First thing I must note. We have yet another kook on MTP.

Because by me Schumer is a kook. Although there IS a Republican counterpart this week so there's some progress.

Maybe The View will hire [Barfalo] ?

You might be on to something.

Nope, they have a quota to fill.  They've already put out the casting call for a "young African American female reporter with experience and strong opinions."

Fox is journalism for juveniles. It is trite television. And with the exception of one hour a day (Hume controlled) it batters the senses and evokes the memory of Newton Minnow.

Big article in local (Pittsburgh) paper today jumps all over the place, but essentially favors their boy Jack. They even try to balance Jack's manifold corruptness by saying Irey's husband had a hand in a construction contract in Iraq (So!?). They also advance the idea that Jack is being Swiftboated, so says Pelosi speaking at a Pittsburgh fundraiser, after "it was discovered" that some anti-Murtha websites (identified) were worked on by some of the webmasters used by Swiftboaters. "Aha!! They gig is up. Run for your lives" - Insp. Clouseau

Put it this way if you had it to compare against British cable news channel you would realise how lucky you are with FNC.

I said this before but I wonder if FNC has changed slightly to woo international viewers because talking to another people on others threads they do not like certain presenters or way of doing a show which to me as Brit I quite enjoy.
