White House Press Secretary Tony Snow brings a great deal of good humor to his job. Here's a sample from yesterday's press gaggle aboard Air Force One on the way to Memphis:

Q Are they both excited about meeting Elvis when they get to Graceland and having a chance to talk to the King for a while?

MR. SNOW (wearing plastic Elvis-style sunglasses): Well, I think they are going to view the alleged grave site. (Laughter.)

Q Is the President wearing anything Elvis-y?

MR. SNOW: No. Neither of them is wearing Elvis-y regalia. That has been only staffers who have been reduced to wearing bad sunglasses.

Q Is it true we're going to have peanut butter and banana sandwiches?

MR. SNOW: We'll have peanut butter and banana sandwiches which, apparently, have 36 grams of fat.

As I post these photos, I'm listening to Elvis' rendition of "Forever My Darling." :)

PHOTO OF THE DAY President Bush rides his mountain bike on the Laoshan Olympic Mountain Bike Course in Beijing, China, in this Nov. 20, 2005 file photo. Yahoo published this and a few other file photos in advance of the President's 60th birthday, which is Thursday, July 6.

Yahoo published this side-by-side comparison to show how the President has aged since 2001.

President and Mrs. Bush, and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi are welcomed to Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, by his former wife Priscilla Presley and their daughter Lisa-Marie Presley yesterday.

Prime Minister Koizumi stands before Elvis' legendary pink Cadillac and waves to reporters as he wears a pair of Elvis Presley style sunglasses during his tour of Graceland.

This photo is sure to be an auto-lover's classic: The Presidential Cadillac carrying President Bush and Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan passes the "King's" legendary pink Cadillac, which was brought out to the Graceland driveway for the occasion. This is 50 years of luxury, custom, one-of-a-kind Cadillac design on display.

From the Franklin Mint's description of their collector's model:

It's the ultimate symbol of Elvis Presley and the age of Rock and Roll...an incredible die-cast replica of the shiny new 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood Elvis chose as a special gift for his beloved Mama...painted custom pink just for her. This sensational vehicle symbolizes the freewheeling spirit of the '50s like no other car of its time.

A photo sure to bring a huge grin of delight to anyone's face. I think the sunglasses were a give to him from Priscilla and Lisa-Marie.

The Prime Minister does his Elvis impression. He sang a few bars of several Presley songs, and even did a bit of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic." What a thoroughly delightful man. :)

I think one reason GWB and Prime Minister Koizumi have become such good friends is that they still have so much of the irrepressible little boy in their personalities. Here the PM examine's Elvis; cigar box.

Here the PM examines Elvis' wallet, which is maintained in the exact condition it was on the day he died.

Prime Minister Koizumi joined the Memphis-based rockabilly trio, The Dempseys, to sing the Elvis Presley tune "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You." "The Prime Minister was clearly having a great time with the band," noted drummer Ron Perrone. "He clapped and cheered after almost every song. We'd be delighted to be his backing band anytime." After touring Graceland, the President and Prime Minister munched on ribs at a local barbecue joint and jammed to The Dempseys.

The PM hugs Lisa-Marie while the President, Laura and Priscilla share a laugh.

Lisa-Marie seemed quite touched by the love the PM has for her dad.

This was on yesterday's Dose, but it's such a charming photo that it surely will make many appearances on the Dose. The President teases the First Lady as they wait under the belly of Air Force One for Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to arrive at Andrews Air Force Base for the trip to Memphis.
