Starts 3:05 PM Pacific - 6:05 PM Eastern
Half a world away, a contingent of brave young men and women of the United States military are risking their lives to preserve Americas freedom, liberty and safety. Some have made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight against terrorism, and left behind family members and loved ones.
Those left behind are called "Gold Star Families" and Move America Forward has partnered with these families to take them to Iraq - to see the future of hope and opportunity and freedom that their sons/daughters died fighting for.
These Gold Star families want to go to Iraq and see first hand the progress being made in the war on terrorism. They wish to go to Iraq to send a message to the people of this nation and to the leaders of nations around the world: Their children did not die in vain. Their children gave their lives for a heroic and just cause that will help to spread a wave of peace and security throughout the Middle East for generations to come.
Help these Gold Star parents make this voyage to Iraq. Help them go thank those who still serve on the front lines today for helping to make sure the mission in Iraq is completed. Help them to see first hand the new Iraq that is rising up from the ashes of that brutal despotic regime of Saddam Hussein.

I listened to a similar program a couple of weeks ago on KRLA. It has to be one of the most moving radiothons you will hear.
These Gold Star families are really wonderful, and they deserve our total support for their sacrifices and continued dedication to the cause of liberty and freedom.
I hope everyone listens on the radio or online if they don't get KRLA wherever they live.

Not in L.A. but listening online right now.
Just heard Larry Marino's interview with Gary Qualls. Thats probably one of the best radio interviews I have heard in a long time.
Gary Qualls is the gold star dad that set up Fort Qualls to counter Cindy Sheehan last August. Someone who really believes in the cause his son sacrificed his life for.

Thanks Rob! Hearing the stories of the parents who lost a child in Iraq or Afghanistan but who nonetheless recognize the importance of this fight... well it moves me.
If only Cindy Sheehan could learn from these people!

Oops - that should be "you're" as in you are.
Bad grammar aside, she really IS an amazing woman. I can't say enough about her, her powerful voice and her beautiful spirit.

Please pray on this day, and every day, for our Patriot Armed Forces standing in harm's way around the world in defense of our liberty, and for the families awaiting their safe return.

"The Passion of Jesus is the greatest and most overwhelming work of God's love." St Paul of the Cross
YOU ARE SO BLESSED If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

God Bless America and Our Great Military
