The multimillionaire learned several tough lessons in his first state-wide race, including one about liquidity in a largely self-funded campaign. He memorably, and he said jokingly, blamed Satan during the final week of the race because delays in business deals made it impossible for him to free up cash he wanted to spend.

Late this week, after a disappointing 12 percent loss to incumbent Congressional Representative Chris Cannon, Mr. Jacob ridded himself of some of those demons. Emergency meetings and lay-offs ensued at the flock of small companies when they were informed that principle investor John D. Jacob was pulling out. During the campaign Mr. Jacob's flock of companies took on special assignments, some not in the purview of their main daily business. Makau Corporation an instructor based training and distance learning company designed, built and is still hosting John D. Jacob campaign website. Healthy Wealthy Wow a women's health radio show gave Mr. Jacob an open platform on which to present his ideas for prescription drug reform. Although these companies are young and have experienced some growing pains, they were growing nonetheless. Since Mr. Jacob, their principle investor, decided that they were his own personal Satan, the future of these companies is now in doubt. Way to go John, you truly are the man who cares about the common voter.

John Jacob shouldn't run again. He had a chance to win this primary, and he blew it. Someone more capable and less inept should challenge Chris Cannon in the next GOP primary.

What "greatness" did Nixon achieve? He had to resign in disgrace from the highest office in the land after essentially admitting that he ran a cover-up of criminality from the Oval Office.
Jacob is just a garden variety nutcase.

He will probably run against Cannon two years from now, a more seasoned campaigner. He has the $$$$.

Yes, he has even more money to play with now that he set drift the companies he was invested in. Too bad for all the little people who will lose their jobs, but it doesn't seem like that bothers John much.
