"Bomb Threat Diverts Plane to Ontario"
Melissa Pinion-Whitt
The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A bomb threat on a Southwest Airlines plane prompted an emergency landing at Ontario International Airport and the evacuation of the flight's passengers Wednesday.
Ontario airport officials received a report of the threat about 9 a.m. The plane, which had taken off from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, was diverted to Ontario and landed at 9:50 a.m.
A passenger on the plane discovered a threat written on two table trays on the plane. When he notified the flight crew, they decided to land.
Ontario Airport Police, the FBI and Ontario firefighters came to the scene to inspect the plane. No information was available about whether an explosive device was actually found."
