To what level? Airstrikes only or artillery and maybe some troops on the ground? What would be the goal? Disable ability to send fighters across the border? Hard to see how this would be accomplished in an aerial or arty campaign, only. If boots hit Syrian soil, then what would be the liklihood of a real coalition of Arab nations rising to join the fray, including the Saudi's? What are the capabilities of Syria...especially in light of the very real possibility that THEY were the recipients of the Iraqi WMD's? Would they be willing to use them? Do they know how to use them without having a large portion of their own population contaminated? Thanks, 'Zilla. Great analysis as usual.
I can only speculate. It may be that Syrian AAA is helping to deter IAF interdiction of resupply convoys from Syria. A limited strike may be enough to ruffle feathers, but avoid drastic expansion of the conflict. The level of Yoni's sources is unknown. He has been fairly close in describing events, but at this stage of the expanded conflict one can only guess.
