"N. Korea has more missiles, U.S. says"
By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
July 13, 2006
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld has disclosed that North Korea has produced up to five additional long-range missiles, but that none appears ready for launch.
"We do believe and they're assessed to have something like three or four or five additional Taepodong-2 airframes somewhere in their country," Mr. Rumsfeld said in an interview Saturday with radio talk-show host Monica Crowley.
However, the defense secretary said that "there are no Taepodong-2s on launching pads at the present time.""

#421 zulubaby Israel has chosen a name for this operation: OPERATION "JUST REWARD". Note- timestamp is Pacific time. |
THANK YOU backhoe.
Operation "Just Reward" -- sounds almost poetic.
I believe our Israeli allies are about to "go Biblical."
It's about time.
It seems like an operation that has just begun.

I have not seen further confirmation of the name- yet- but the newscrawlers on those linked sites are alive with activity.
OPIINION: Oh, no, I understand, we've been following the activity here for a long time on TM; I guess I should have said the war has more or less officially begun.
Thanks.
I've never seen this blog before.
FYI, FWIW-- I don't get any particular orientation or point of view from that blogger beyond "just trying to get by."
Thought his comment about "still have power and internet" was interesting-- the news I just saw claims Israel is "isolating" Lebanon.
I can remember long ago- the nineteen-sixties-- when Beruit was considered the Monaco or Las Vegas of the region-- before bloody civil war turned parts of it into a moonscape.
Yep, at one time, Beirut was actually quite beautiful and an attractive tourist spot.
Yep...it is about time....something that TM'ers have seen coming for some time....and I anticipate the UN and the general liberal hand wringers to start to condemn Israel for defending itself.
Good morning backhoe.
Good morning, all4one... "interesting times," or perhaps a "Bad Moon a'risin?"
