For All Of Sunday's Finest
Little Lessons
I'm kind of small and very new to the scene
A cute, inquisitive ball of fur with eyes of blue-green
I'm on my very first trip Outside, you see
And I'm still a little too small to climb a tree
So, I'll make do by hiding in the curled and noisy leaves
I heard them last night whispering through the breeze
As I watched them fall like big snow flakes from the trees
Then swirl and spin across the ground with a most appealing rustling sound
Curiosity piqued, I went Outside before it started getting light
And was greeted with a most inviting and amusing sight
As the leaves were dancing wearily from their night long fight
I thought that if I could crawl and slide under them I just might
Be able to blend into the background and disappear from sight
I tested my idea as the Sun began to rise up into the trees
And kept very quiet and still when the Pretty One began looking for me
When she turned her back, it was a moment I just could not believe
So, now my best hiding place is in the falling leaves!

I know I don't say it much, but I just LOVE your kitty poems and the accompanying pictures.
