LOL!!! Does anybody realize that is about 60% of Mexico's entire population? I'm as anti-illegail0immigrant as the next guy but to believe that essentially 2/3 of Mexico is going to pack up and sneak accross the border is just, well, silly.
Why are you assuming they'd all come from Mexico? Central/South America are quite populous, and are Africa, Pakistan, India, etc. This open invitation is to the entire third world, not just Mexico.

With all due respect, get educated friend.
This does NOT just include Mexicans.
In fact, the current Senate bill allows increases in the cap for H1-B visas to 125,000/year from 65,000/ year immediately plus a 20% increase per year for every year this quota is filled.
H1-B visas are for TECHNICAL expertise such as engineers and scientists.
The 65,000 per year has already hurt the American engineer a LOT. For the first time in my career salaries for EE's are going down.
This is NOT just about unskilled or semi-skilled workers.
It will hurt the whole damn middle class!
Who in the hell are these people who were whining about not enough jobs in the 2004 election who are now supporting this Senate proposal?
I don't know what you do for a living, but somewhere, in some other country, there is someone waiting to come here and do your job for half of what you do it for!
I hope the House carries through with its promise to hold public hearings on the Senate bill.
Americans will be disgusted at the contents of it!
It is obvious that the Senate doesn't give a damn about the average Joe's well being... it's all about big business.
You say 60 million is 60% of Mexico's entire population. Try more like 30%. Illegal immigration is not subjected to Mexicans alone. Have you added up the numbers of Central and South Americans?
They are and will be coming from all over the world, not just Mexico. These people also have a lot of babies.
They took a poll in Mexico not long ago and found that one quarter of the population had already left. That's the lowest class, the native Indian Mexican -- without education, jobs, prospects, etc., the ones Fox and the rest of the elites wanted to get rid of. In effect, ethnic cleansing. Half of those remaining...that's the middle class...are so disgusted with corruption and violence that they're thinking of heading north. Whole villages are empty, deserted. We're depopulating Mexico.

First off, it's over a number of years. Second off, their population is not growing slowly, so it's not impossible. Third off, surveys of the Mexican populace have shown that something like 50% of their college students want to go to America. Why should the rest of the population be different--especially when that rest of the population is usually the peon class that really benefits from coming to the U.S. anyway?
