The traditional Beast of Cannock Chase is supposed to be a bigfoot type creature, not a wolf.

"The 1976 Dangerous Animals Act "
OBVIOUSLY doesn't apply to British politicians of the left or Islamic immigrants.

Thanks to Marius3188 for the ping.
I ran across a very similar story a few years ago. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but it happened to the older brother of a friend of mine. He was driving home from work down a lonely stretch of road one night when from off the side, he caught sight of something on a fence. The thing jumped off the fence and dashed across the road, right in front of him. He described it as a creature sort of like a wolf, but tall and standing on upright legs, like a human.
Well, as soon as he saw it, he freaked (it was around a curve in the road) and swerved off the road, flipping the car over. He lay there strapped in the overturned car, knowing the creature was out there probably close by and he was completely helpless. Nothing else happened, except about three hours later someone drove by and saw the overturned car and called 9-11.
My friend's brother was fine but he was extremely scared. He told me how he remembered visiting his brother in the hospital, and how he was so freaked out, and their Dad was like, "Are you sure that's what you saw?" and he would start going crazy saying "I know what I saw, Dad!"

"Three-foot long creature"?
Not very big. Someone with a shotgun in his pickup will get the critter soon! Oops, did you say England? Everybody, run like Hell!
Really, it is probably only an unemployed Foxhound.
