When my child was small and I worked, it was like my car had auto-pilot on it. On days when I didn't need to drop her off at the babysitters my car would still head there. Then I would realize she wasn't with me and go on to work.

I don't believe this type of story. I don't know how anyone can forget a baby/child is with them. They just require too dam much attn.

I don't believe these stories either. We read about this sort of thing all the time, but do any of these people ever go to prison? If not, maybe the unsavory among us have figured out that this is an "accident" with no repurcussions.

Hummm! you may want to rethink how anyone could forget. Your car doesn't have a brain so it didn't drive itself there, you did. You were just fortunate that you didn't have the child when you thought you did. :-)
