They are asking people around the world to join them in their hunger strike.
There will be millions around the world joining them, but won't be signing up. Africa comes to mind, as do many other places in the world.

Why does CP pick the holidays. Mother's Day was bad enough.
CP must have gotten hold of the D.C. Chapter's member's date book and figured out what day we'll be the busiest. FReepers are going to be out of town, visiting family (we'll be in Hagerstown) and doing patriotic things.
