A group of 50 pro-Israel Christian tourists came under attack Wednesday from some 100 residents of the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Mea She'arim in Jerusalem. Three of the tourists and a police officer were wounded in the attack. They received treatment at the scene. The tourists arrived at Mea She'arim wearing orange T-shirts with the words "Love your neighbor as yourself" printed across them. As they neared one of the squares, the local residents apparently identified them as Christians and began to hit them. Police forces in the area stepped in to stop the violence, but did not make any arrests. Police say they are waiting for the tourists to file official complaints.

(See? That's how one evangelizes, you get people to ask questions.)
Mosaic Law is binding on Jews. Non-Jews are permitted, but discouraged, from converting to Judaism and observing Mosaic law. There are certain Mosaic laws (such as laying tefillin or observing Shabbat exactly as Jews do) which are actually forbidden for non-Jews.
Yu are a Noachide too. All of mankind is divided into Benei Yisra'el (Jews) and Benei Noach (Noachides). All non-Jews are Noachides and bound by the Seven Laws of the Sons of Noach, though most of them don't recognize this at present. I am an observant Noachide because I came to acknowledge my true responsibility before G-d as a non-Jew and rejected false religion. The people usually called "Noachides" are observant Noachides; all non-Jews (as I stated before) are technically Noachides.
The Jews are mankind's "clergy" just as the land of Israel is its "sacristy." The Torah applies to the Jews just as in other religions special rules apply to the clergy. Non-Jews are not required to become Jews any more than all Catholics are required to become priests. But both Mosaic and Noachide Law have the same source--the Revelation of the Torah to Moses on Mt. Sinai.
The Torah is the highest and most perfect Revelation of G-d. It is wholly Divine in origin and was dictated to Moses letter-for-letter, who wrote it down. Every verse is of equally Divine origin, whether it be "I am HaShem your G-d" or "the sons of Ham were Kush, Mitzrayim, Put, and Kena`an."
It should be observed that there are people calling themselves "Noachides" who are really no more than eighteenth century style deists or unitarians. They have rejected not only chr*stianity but revealed religion itself and favor a more "rational" ethical system. They deny the Divine origin of the Torah and insist on the usual liberal "all the religions are good and true once you strip the silly supernatural stuff off" claim. This is a great error since to be an observant Noachide one must accept the Seven Commandments not because they are rational but on the authority of G-d and His Torah which He revealed to Moses on Mt. Sinai.. RamBa"M said that non-Jews who accept morality but not the Revelation on which it is based are not to be counted among the "pious of the nations" at all but rather among their "wise men."
The strange thing is that this story did not appear in YNet, which is very diligent in reporting anything bad they can find about the religious community. It was not on their English site, and I checked the Hebrew version, it was not found either.
My opinion is this was just a stupid street brawl on the same level as a set-to between fans of opposing sports teams.
At it again "Yam". Did you renew your pamyat membership?
"Thou hast said it.."
(lol)- - Regardless, it's hearsay. ("100% trustworthy") -too funny
"My own mommie witnessed it because it happened in front of her."
Regardless, it's hearsay.
"You may choose to not believe it but it doesn't change the fact that it has and does happen."
......but "it doesn't change the fact" -that your version -is hearsay.
"Only those who have actually done such things."
Did you get any of this on tape/vcr? Did you get names? (ahh, no) - it's hearsay.
"Trust me..."
Won't happen. Don't know ya -and never care to meet ya.
"I KNOW there are plenty of people who..."
Did you get any of these folks names? (ahh, nope) - it's hearsay.
"So don't get huffy and offended..."
How do you perceive this (are you a genie?) -
... and still don't know ya -and still never care to meet ya inciter.
"...that SOME Ultra Orthodox Jews behave badly and spit (literally) on clergymen of other faiths."
Did you get this on tape/vcr? (ahh, no) - it's vemonous hearsay inciter.
""They have and it's wrong..."
Incorrect again. Did you get these folks on tape/vcr? (ahh, no) - it's hearsay.
"And don't be so naive..."
I see here you were still trying to blabber out something...
...don't know ya, don't ever care to meet ya.
"these things...happen...because they most certainly do."
Sorry, no cigar. Who have you gotten on tape/vcr. Anyone? (ahh, no) - it's hearsay.
And blnka, things do happen in life, but you pumped out 86 paragraphs trying to support your posts/
you're trying too hard and you seem unstable/
now, you do know where the door is, correct.
absolutely hilarous////
Aren't some ultra-Orthodox against the existence of Israel as a political country (or at least with the post1967 borders)?
Some of the ardent evolutionists seem to be against them (but you probably were considering Jewish).
Lots; even still. There is a remnant in Europe.
They won't be. The object is not to confront Israelis in courtrooms, but to share the gospel with those who will listen. True Christian missionaries are not deterred by fines, jail or beatings.
"'Your G-d is my god, Your people is my people.'"
Maybe the Jews were schoolteachers. That last bit would have sure pissed off some of mine from third grade.
Your S&M fantasies are not relevant here.
Fred Phelps does not get defended or excused on this board.
False. It is still a crime.
Are you kidding? It is more true than you will ever know.
Well, by this point I don't think that any honest thread-reader still wonders whether the rule against discussing Israeli anti-Christianity here is, as I said, vigorously enforced. Congratulations to all. Peace.
I was about to ask him that, but I see he's been sent to the corner or back to DU.
Actually, they do join the IDF. I posted a link to their batallion.
Try discussing the anti-Protestantism of Roman Catholics or Eastern Orthodox here and see how long you last.
I'll take the Bible over chr*stianity any day.
