Actually, I was being somewhat facetious. I have no problem with Sulfur laced coal burning or damming Sierra Nevada rivers to create electricity...I just get a kick out of someone who thinks that using electricity is cleaner than burning gas.

The big benefit of using electric motors on these rails is that electric motors can generate a HUGE amount of torque and if properly transferred to the drivetrain, a screaming fast ride.

I agree that nuclear power would be a much cleaner and more efficient method of generating electricity.
