I am looking forward to seeing them talk about it. The reason is first that they make fun of EVERYONE equally. I love the fact that Rush made some jokes about it. I bet Rush will catch the first couple minutes of Leno and have a great laugh. With Leno especially, it is just light fun.

If Rush is a conservative spokesperson, then he should walk the walk, because if he doesn't it is embarrassing, he's not married, is he? He should be embarrassed, but I feel sorry for him because we live in a very confused world.

I have never heard why Rush and Martha split. Whether is was on good terms. The thought ran through my mind that if it was not on good terms. Rush may be being very subtly set up.

It's a little more then politics, I for one am getting tired of conservative spokespeople getting caught with their pants down, you would think that they would learn, if they are going to make a living taking a stand, then they should live like they mean it, I am getting tired, because enough people have been embarrassed by this type of thing, and no one seems to be learning their lesson, it's getting old. He's not married, and he is a conservative spokesman, vigra should not even be a part of his vocabulary. If this sounds harsh, then I am sorry.

I know that my wife and I have a travel bag set up with all the essentials so that we don't have to go through the house collecting what we need. The bag is ready to go. Rush probably has a Viagra bottle in the bathroom and one in the bag. It is lucky he had his Viagra in a prescription bottle. I would have put a few in a film can from the main supply bottle. In my case, it would have been antacids. What would they do if they found these mystery pills in a film can? Would they have a cow over my method of storing antacid pills?

Finally, what if they did not find any Viagra in Rush's toilet bag? What if they found a vibrator? Would that information be blasted out to the media? I do believe this is on that level. How would like to live a life where you had to consult your lawyer about every move you had to make. Let's say your doctor wrote you a prescription for incontinence. The bottle even had the words, "take 1/2 tablet four times a day for incontinence." Your doctor puts his name on the bottle "just in case" someone could discover that you had this embarrassing condition by reading the label. Your doctor tells you that he does it all the time for his patient's privacy interests. You nod your head and never in a thousand years think you should get on the phone and call your lawyer.

Rush was not caught with his pants down. There was, as far as we know, no female contact on the trip. As far as we know, this bottle of pills might have been part of the standard toilet bag set up for travel. It follows the Boy Scout's motto: "be prepared." Rush has probably not had to use the bottle in years. However, if the situation did come, how would you handle the frustration that a man might experience when there is desire without the delivery? Are we going to condemn a man for being a normal human being?

First of all, you are being a little judgmental here. As you may have noticed in some of the other posts, Viagra is used for diabetes and other ailments. It's not just for, well, you know.

Second, if you want to focus on the morality aspect of this, fine, but does that justify what happen to Rush at the airport? Does that justify someone blabbermouthing to the media to embarrass Rush? I don't think so.

I understand your point, but not all conservatives have Christian morals. I wish they did, but as you may have noticed since you've been a FReeper, there are conservatives who don't subscribe Christian ethics and morals, as you probably do, and as I do. That's just a fact.

Mac Davis is one of the more prolific and successful songwriters in the last 50 years. He also wrote a number of songs for Elvis, including "In the Ghetto."

Of course, he also wrote "Rhinestone Cowboy" for Glen Campbell and that classic performed by CW McCall, "Convoy," but we probably shouldn't hold that against him.

It's time for Rush to leave Florida and move to Texas. One of the reasons he moved there was to avoid state income taxes. We don't have one too and we have some good golf courses too.

You're right, I was being a little bit judgemental, it wasn't right for people to embarrass him at all, and I do have compassion for people with diabetes, I didn't know that this was a treatment for other aliments. You are also right that not all conservatives have Christian morals. I do feel sorry for Rush that he is facing this kinds of tactics, it is sad, and another person brought up the point that it might have just been in there. It is embarrassing though when a person has to deal with having their sex life discussed on the Internet. He has really been dealing with a lot of harassment and it does seem a bit unfair.

Ah! Another Mac Davis fan! Thought I might be the only one left! Used to go see him in concert, and his favorite line was that he would sing a medley of his hit....then would sing In the Ghetto that he wrote for Elvis.

It appears that all Rush has to do is have his doctor acknowledge that he did in fact prescribe the pills.

( Why does this sound so much like EXACTLY what he could have done a few years ago ? )

Will Rush stand his ground again ?

Will he reject having to PROVE his innocense ?

Will he allow the investigators to talk to his doctors ?
