I wonder if the military knows this is bogus but arrests and investigates to show Iraq and the world that we take their concerns seriously, with an added bonus of letting the media look foolish. I hope this isn't the case. I could understand but it's brutal for the troops.

If they can't get the statements thrown out, can they show the methods used to get the statements? BTW, the NCIS has always had a reputation of being bullies.

Solis said it is more likely one of the troops will cooperate with prosecutors in return for the charges being dropped or the penalty reduced. Unless, they are all telling the truth in which case there's no deal to be made. And the NCIS can go phock themselves.

Thanks for the post, Norm.
"Navy medic?"
ya know if any of these clowns in the media had spent one day in the armed services, they would know the Sailor in this case is a Navy Corpsman!
I'm still predicting exoneration.
Hopefully for the sake of these Marines & Corpsman's families and the families of those Marines & Corpsmen's families who paid the ultimate price; the media will be as diligent in reporting their innocence! But you and I both know it won't be coming.

Accusing our troops of 'massacres' and 'war crimes' is part of the jihadists war strategy. It accomplishes several things for the terrorists. It gives a black eye to our military and fuels the anti-war movement. It antagonizes the Iraqis and the islamic world into fighting all the harder. It effectively eliminates from battle the U.S. troops charged with crimes, and it absolutely has a negative effect on recruitment because what kid wants to join a military that will turn on him so readily because of some Iraqi's allegation. Our military and political leaders are too stupid to understand all this and have fallen prey to islamic terrorist's strategy.

If our Marines wanted to kill civilians, there would be train loads of 'em dead in every stinking town in Iraq. Instead our Marines risk their lives to save even the enemy, its civilian allies and their homes and mosques.
AND now the Iraqi Government is talking about releasing 2500 more scum we have captured.
This is BullShiite.
