A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 6.27.06
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov ^ | Tuesday June 27, 2006 | GretchenM

The president jogged at the White House with a soldier who lost both legs to a roadside bomb in Iraq.

He met with the 2006 Democracy Award winners.

Bush addressed the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research in Washington regarding the line item veto he wants Congress to pass.

Secretary of State Rice is in Pakistan. (Despite the security escort she has, this is still a dangerous place for her to visit and I applaud her personal courage.).

QUOTE: "A line-item veto would be a vital tool that a President could use to target spending that lawmakers tack on to the large spending bills. ... The President could approve the spending that is necessary, could red-line spending that is not, and then let the Congress decide whether or not the President is right. It's a fair process; I believe it's a necessary process."

I'd love to see the President bring a few of these HEROES to a press briefing and let them tell the MSM and DNC Cut-n-Runners how important it is to complete the mission.

Rice addresses a joint news conference with Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri at President House in Islamabad, Pakistan. Rice praised two key allies in the fight against terrorism, calling Pakistan President Gen. Pervez Musharraf and Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai two leaders the world is lucky to have.

Hi snugs.

It took the WH a long time to put their pictures up of the jog, which delayed the posting, but they were worth the wait.

Love Miss B. being in it.
