I think the democrats should just come out and tell everyone what they really and truely want: raise taxes on the rich, universal health care, etc. and let the voters decide if they want that or not. For some reason the democrats just don't want to tell people what they really want to do. It really puzzles me.

It doesn't puzzle me. If their true agenda were known and understood by the electorate, they would go down to crushing defeat. By lying, obfuscating, triangulating, race-baiting, and success-hating, they have managed to remain a viable force in American politics. Yes, they are still losing, but they would be a lot worse off if they announced their true intentions.

You forgot the part about abolishing property and gun rights, turning over the ME to OBL, cutting military spending by 50%, welfare for illegals (er, "pre-citizens"), re-education camps for conservatives and Christians, 24-hr schools, giving gays and convicted criminals special status, etc.
