Well, if the UN is against marijuana, I guess that we all should show solidarity with our masters!

The report argues that marijuana is by far the most popular drug in the world, with about 162 million users every year compared to just 16 million for opiates and 13 million for cocaine. Which is why Refer Madness Part 2 is reaching such fevered pitch. You can't justify the kind of budget that the Drug War commands with a measly 29 million users.

I've never tried pot in my life, but this almost makes it tempting if the UN is against it.

The report argues that marijuana is by far the most popular drug in the worldI suspect alcohol is more popular than this.

I've yet to see the numbers...
What is the average THC content of today's cannabis VS that of the 70s?
"Today, the harmful characteristics of cannabis are no longer that different from those of other plant-based drugs such as cocaine and heroin"
OK - what about ODing?
When did cannabis cause someone to have a heart attack & die?
How many people have gotten AIDS from sharing dirty pipes/bongs?
Oh - so I guess the harmful characteristics ARE different.
Follow the facts & stats and you see right thru the lies.

I'm shocked at the cynicism toward the UN here. I am certain that the UN's War on Drugs is an effective, honest operation-- like the UN Oil for Food program.

Marijuana is reportedly good for people stuck in boring repetitive jobs.... say like having to sit in the UN General Assembly and listen to UN bureaucrats like Kofi drone on and on and on and on and on........

You'd think that folks would have learned to trust our betters by now.

Some interesting graphs. The Hash Oil figures for 2003 - 2004 seem really out of whack. In fact the hash oil figures seem to have dropped during the Clinton years. Hmmm, some easy jokes there I'm sure. As for everthing else, well again the figures seemed to have increased when Bush took office. Again, more easy jokes there. I expect there are such variations in samples obtained on the street that such claims about increasing potency have to be qualified quite a bit to make me yawn.

Good lord... I agree pot is harmful but cocaine and heroin are in a completely different category. Addiction being one big difference. Willingness to commit crime to support te habit being another.

I've been hearing about this "more potent" pot since high school, yet can't seem to find it. Whether Crippie or Kentucky Blue, it has/had the same effect on me.
Personally, I prefer Don Diegos and Partagas from DR these days.
