But I've always wondered if Rush's name is Rush. Or is it short for something, Russell? Reginald? variation of Ross? Just curious. I've never heard this English name before.

I've never heard this English name before.Rush, Is his real name...Its' a family tradition...He has said.
...it seems to be named after his late (who lived to >100 years :) Grandfather.

Rush is actually Rush III. His father and grandfather were also named Rush. Probably an old family surname.
