She is wrong, assuming this is indeed her position. The theory of evolution does not address whether the process is guided by any higher power. Although some of its proponents use the theory this way, it is a misuse and is highly unscientific.

The theory of evolution is entirely about natural processes, therefore, without supernatural guidance at all.

The theory of evolution does not state whether supernatural guidance has occurred or is occurring. It does not address the issue.

I am especially amused by those who try to stretch the theory to state that evolution "proves" that God did not create the stars and planets.

Evolution, of course, addresses strictly biological processes. It has nothing whatsoever to do with anything else.

Hunh? What is this "natural processes" critter? Is that an identifiable and measurable process or substance?

Is information unnatural or "supernatural?"

Nonsense. While it's true that the theory of evolution, like all fields of science, studies and describes natural processes (i.e., how things behave when they're not being screwed with), it in no way makes any statement about whether those processes could be, or have been, supernaturally screwed with.

I hope that's said plainly enough, because lots of people seem confused by the concept.
