MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:

While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

That is daaaamn true! I`m 44 and was about 50 lbs heavier than I am now last year (from sitting on my arse all day driving) and the one eyed wonder worm was acting how shall we say...very tired. It was freaking me out! I thought I had prostrate problems.. Then I started getting my act together last year, excercising and cutting out the 20 zillion big macs everyday, and now it is like night and day. Ten HUT! Ten hut even when there is no inspection! "Not now wormy! I`m wearing shorts!" Plus when you don`t have a gut the size of Ted Kennedys, it make Wormy look biggerrrrr!

At one time that statement would be true, not so anymore.

Sandy 'the burglar' Berger comes to mind, as ONE example.

If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear.

You forgot the sarcasm tag.

The real problem here is not that they had a question about his prescriptions, it's the leaking and reporting. To my knowledge, the programs to monitor terrorist money and communications have resulted in ZERO press leaks, except, of course, that the monitoring is happening and your privacy MAY be violated. And now, those same people gleefully tattle on Limbaugh. What incredible hypocrisy.

Is it illegal in Florida for a doctor to give prescription drugs to a patient? It isn't in Arizona or California, which is why I ask.

My Dr. gives me samples of prescription drugs all the time. Every time I start a new drug he gives me a couple of weeks worth of samples so I can mail my script in for a 90 day supply. Is that illegal? I travel all the time and carry my meds in a pill case. Is that illegal? This whole story is B.S.

Arizona Carolyn,

I'm late to this thread and don't know if it's been answered already, but it is legal in Florida for doctors to give drug samples to their patients. Our family practice doc and the kids' pediatrician have both done it.

Test Question number 34 -

In the following checklist, please identify the step that is not part of standard Immigration and Customs Inspection procedure.

Immigration & Customs Inspection Checklist:

1. Search Luggage of Incoming Travellers.

2. Look for all drugs.

3. Upon finding any drugs, immediately contact the media and inform them of who was detained, the reason they were detained, list the drugs found in his/her possession (whether they are legal or not).

4. Apply any applicable immigration rules and regulations concerning drugs possessed by incoming traveller.

I'm just glad I'm not home to see the Today Show's treatment of this.

I found out about this yesterday when I was doing some DUmpster diving and found that the DUmmies were chortling about Keith Olbermann talking about it.

Probably talking about 45-50+ men who have had or still have a roll of belly fat that is common to men of that age group. The effects can be ED, diabetes, high BP etc. The diabetes and high BP can cause ED. Maybe not 90% overall, but most in that group will experience one or more of these problems eventually in their lives.

Maybe Rush planted them in the luggage himself. Most likely he knew the authorities would be snooping extra hard in order to find some sort of crime to pin on him. Heck, if he really didn't want to get caught couldn't he just have FedEx-ed the drugs to his home?

I think this is one huge rope-a-dope. Revenge could be VERY sweet.

I take heart meds, cholstrol meds, asprin, vits and cal, and acid reflux meds and I had them in little bottles with pop off lids in a small bag in my purse and NOT ONCE was I asked about it....

That is probably because they are in YOUR name. According to the story, Rushs' script was in his doctor's name. IMO, that is the difference.
