MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:
While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

I suspect his show later this AM will have the highest rating ever ;-)
Poor Al Franken, he'll be beating his head against the walls, screaming, "what does a guy have to do to get arrested around here".

CORRECTION APPLIED:
"We believe 'HOPE TO ALMIGHTY GOD that..'there may be a second-degree misdemeanor violation, which is possession of certain drugs without a prescription, because the bottle does not have his name on it," Miller said.

Since it is well known that ED problems abound Rush proves he's a party animal....Isn't Daren Kagen his main squeeze? Don't think Viagra isn't one of the most popular street drugs by accident. It makes 50-60 year old guys into weekend Tarzan's and sends their mates into the stratosphere. No wonder Kagen is alway's grinnin'.
Go Rushbo! Should be an interesting show today:-)

Is it illegal in Florida for a doctor to give prescription drugs to a patient?I personally know many doctors that give out sample packs of prescription meds with no label stating the patient's name. Pharm reps spend their days distributing these sample packs of everything from super-decongestant, to steroids for skin problems, to ED medications. This is just plain silly.

The NYT and MSM is more concerned about invading the financial privacy of terrorists overseas transactions than with Rush Limbaughs medical privacy. Yes.

I wonder what "reason" customs had for targeting Limbaugh for a search.
His previous drug arrest, maybe?

If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear. Not true.
That phrase is a comforting bromide; but if it ever were true, it certainly isn't anymore in this age of political correctness.
Completely innocent people can be accused --and convicted, one way or another-- of "sexual harassment," rape, and a long list of other crimes.

Not even a politician, yet he gets harrassed like this by the press, and this is just for prescription drugs! Meanwhile Bridgeport Mayor John M. Fabrizi does coke, which was found out only after he was caught, and the demands for him to resign sound like crickets in the night. And he refuses to resign! Hello? Then we can turn to the all time Champion, D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, who was not only caught smoking crack on video, but was actually re-elected! And the press can`t get enough of a radio guy with a prescription? Yeah, no bias there!

very silly. Wife is a pharmacist says she has seen scripts with doctors name for someone else in order to ensure privacy. The label, if we can believe the report, said filled for rush in doctors name to ensure privacy. This would be filed under the drs name and not rush's but his name was on the label. Perfectly legal and done occasionally. Agent who confiscated the bottle was on a mission.
