I thought his extradition/surrender was based upon no death penalty. Just going from memory here.

IIRC, he was caught in the US, so I don't know who would have negotiated such terms for extradition. And, even so, what are they gonna do after tonight?

IIRC, he was in Mexico at mama's house and a Texas Ranger negotiated with mama to bring her son to the border. However, I cannot remember if the usual 'no executing the extraditee' position held by the Mex. govt. was waived or otherwise voided.
