(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.

Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.

Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.

Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.

I just might have caused a real problem for a friend. I gave him one of those pill boxes where you can sort out your daily pills. It's great for traveling, because you can remember what to take. But there's no record of the prescrip.
Wonder if he will get stopped?

Viagra is advertised like it was ice cream, some heavy guns are interested in getting RL.

I would recommend that he guard that aircraft, and lock the hangar door.

Good point, but that still doesn't justify it to me why it's prescription only as far as I'm concerned. It can also kill you if you take 1,000 Tylenol tablets in a single dosage that can be purchased my anyone OTC, if you chose to do so . One has to assume some common sense at times when it comes to medicine.

Imus used it on the air once along with Bernie an Lou (as an experiment), and it just made him angrier, and had no effect on Bernie or Lou. It was funny because Bernie set Imus up to talk to a "lady of the night" on the air to try and see if that would help Imus.

The pharmacy had better hope they have your records on file. Or they will be paying a fine if they are caught.

I don't think you are correct on this. Some people are too sick or disabled to personally pick up their prescriptions and children don't even have IDs.

I have picked up presciptions for sick friends and family many times at national pharmacies (CVS, Eckard) and have never had a problem.

I felt that Bob Dole was doing a great service for people who had a real problem. That was refreshing. To have it revealed that Rush had Viagra (if true)is a whole different matter.

Well, I don't think it's his plane - I believe he uses a time-share air taxi service.

But you think he might be a bit more carefull about making sure that there is no question that what he does is legal - ESPECIALLY when it involves drugs and prescriptions.

I agree and if he did it, he needs to do time. This is ridiculous. Why is he doing this? I just don't understand how a grown man with that much money is getting into trouble. I will pass judgment once the story is clear but as of now it looks bad.
