Limbaugh Detained At Airport Image
Joy Purdy Reporting
(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.
Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.
Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.
Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.
I picked up two for my wife tonight. Maybe the laws differ from state to state but I have never had the problem of buying a family members meds.
The same can be said of those who have done it for me.
EXACTLY!!!
I'm not sure what your point is. Are you saying that they expect the customs agents to announce what's found in their luggage?
Well, how about this conspiracy theory? He has to pass a drug test per his probation. Can Viagra show up in a test? If so, suppose it was picked up and the info got to the right people. They see an opportunity to embarass him. Find a reason to search his bags when he returns from a trip outside the country. No prescription pain pills are found, but the embarassment is out...like they find Viagra and let that leak or someone trumps up the Viagra leak. Either way the damage is done. In this case, embarassment.
Hmmm...
Removing tin foil now.
LOL, I was wondering why the humble one got so quiet myself.
But you're not on a hitlist like Rush is.
Interesting. All "conservatve" talk show hosts are simultaneously out of town, and now this. It's a set-up for sure....but maybe it's the Drive-By-Media that just got set up?!
One can dream!
I can understand that since you KNOW the MSM is combing through prescriptions, even though that's not legal, trying to GET him on something, anything!!
Ok everybody. Relax. Drudge has an up date that says...
UPDATE: Rush Limbaugh 'had no illegal drugs or prescription drug obtained illegally in his possession,' source says, contrary to a claim by CBS-TV in Miami... MORE...
So I guess I better get the puns in quick.
This was a rather "tense" situation. Looks like the tv station will get "spanked" for the bad report.
Well...I off to go fishing.....remember....keep a tight line and your tip up....
Was that over the top....I can never tell....
Surprise, surprise. I see the one that Mark Levin calls, "Rat Sh*t" has graced the thread with his presence.
Rush is going to take a lot of ribbing over this. His best bet is to OWN the humor. After all, the MSM is all over his manhood now. They couldn't get at his brain.
Then why post it, silly boy?
Poor Palmiero....if only Viagra was the worst thing that happened to him.
BUMP
"...CBS Miami should think long and hard (oh...a reality pun at that...points for ya on that one) about whether a public's right to know might override a man's right to a nice ....
ok....I'm done.
Naw, Fed Agents typically don't leak to the press on celeb stuff. Figure there's a civilian employee who sees the thing go down. He calls the local reporter, and the reporter calls the Feds, "Hey, I heard you just busted Rush..."
There's an entire economy based on celebrities...reporters regularly pay low level people for information on celebs. Fer instance, if you work for a nightclub and convince some A level celeb to show up and get their pic taken, it's worth a thousand bucks. Celebs, particularly rap stars, know this and leverage it.
Sammy Sosa got some good stuff there...
You are right...it was funny, and I chuckled.
I forgot to add the "lol"...sorry, don-o.
Talk about a quickie. This was all a little premature, wasn't it. It figures that the media would exaggerate about the size of this story and milk it for all it was worth.
bttt big time.
