I suggest that all you gen-x slackers stop whining, learn to change your own diapers, get off the couch (or keyboard) and get a second job if you are not educated enough or qualified enough to fund all you need in life with the one that you have.But as the article points out, Generation X is saving more than the Baby Boomers at the same age. It's the anticipation of the Baby Boomer whining (and wow can they whine!) 10 to 20 years from now that we're worried about!

I'm not sure that's even true. Some Gen-Xers are saving and prepping for their retirement. A heckuva lot of them are doing no such thing.
Along the same line, a heckuva lot of boomers have their retirements well in hand. A bunch more don't. And so it is with every generation.
