To: Dreagon

Yeah,Capitalism wins and I guess we should all celebrate but the article points out something that has always troubled me as someone who is at least TRYING to be morally conservative.
I was brought up to see conservatism as a philosophy that shunned wild parties and strippers.In fact,those practices were seen by me to be the property of amoral liberals and moral relativists who cared not for Biblical principles but only mindless hedonism.Yet all too often "conservatives"on this board think such goings on are just fabulous!
Maybe someone here could explain the contradiction.

Well, first of all "conservatives" are not a monolithic group. There are social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, ye olde greed is good conservatives, etc.
And too, the irony in this case is just too delicious.
