Can they not prosecute the editor and reporter ? There surely must be something that can be done to make them an example.

Snugs, I have no idea why they are not being prosecuted. SOMEONE stole classified information from the CIA and made it available to the NY Times. And the NY Times published it aware that they got it from a SPY. They made it available to the enemy. We'd better keep screaming our heads off about this if we hope to get any action.

Snugs, our First Amendment, and the case law that has flowed from it, make it difficult to prosecute news outlets. That, plus the political firestorm that would occur if a Republican administration attempted to prosecute the New York Times, really make it difficult to do anything about them.

I know it's different in your country and, frankly, I prefer your system from what I know if it.
