Nice checkup that. I disagree with the original post. But, the quality of a lot of the response, sadly, reveals a lack of actual reading and thinking - before firing off a one liner.
The one liner that I fired off was in reaction to a poster's comment that this might be a trial baloon. While the poster didn't state what specific ballon he was referring to, I thought the guy might be trying a trial ballon for possibly developing a FR type pay site for himself.
You know, I used to think that way, until I realized, I lurked here for a couple years before I posted. I couldn't compete with the knowledge the whole group had. Then, I stuck my toe in, actually, I hid on the supreme court threads Hole-n-one managed during the gore takeover. Back then, the interenet was still in it's baby days. Now, people who post on other sites, think they understand how chat sites work, wrong, it's FR, not a 'chat' site per se, or, 'just another chat site on a blog'. Sometimes we need to work with posters, guide them and show them we aren't 'other' internet sites. If we keep that in our minds, we'll raise some good freepers.
You've been here longer than me. I remember laughing so hard my stomach hurt. I think our problem is (longtimers), we've pretty much seen it all. You know, it was posted already. But, the newbies are seeing it for the first time. I agree though, too many cute one liners. Some try too hard to be funny, and they just aren't.

True but at least the one liners make it easier to get to the end of the thread. I thought I was gonna be watching soccer in about 15 minutes, lol!
