CNN's Jack Cafferty Again: "The Dumb Ones Watch Fox"
MediaBusters ^ | John K.

Posted on 06/22/2006 6:23:49 PM PDT by jsk10

The latter seems to be the strategy for CNN’s Jack Cafferty. Shortly before 5pm EDT on the June 22 The Situation Room, Cafferty made this remark to substitute host John King after reading viewer responses to his question of the hour:

John King, substitute host: "Jack, I’m glad they always tell you exactly what they’re thinking."

Cafferty: "And, and they’re pretty smart, too."

King: "Yes they are, yes they are. Thank you very much–"

Cafferty: "The dumb ones watch Fox."

King [laughing]: "Ouch! Ouch, ouch, that’s going to bring some more e-mail."

Actually, I hope everyone ignores that comment. I wouldn't want CNN to think anyone was watching.

This makes you wonder what this turd "thinks" about Albert Einstein.

Einstein was a conservative afterall.

And it is real smart to say "Ching Chong" on TV when talking about a Chinese person, Jack.

I hope CNN gives Jack Carfferty a lifetime contract. He's the best anti-CNN advertisement they've got. The minute he disparaged Fox News, I guarantee he lost even more viewers who wanted to see for themselves what Fox News was all about and NOW THEY'RE HOOKED!

Same ole "conservatives are dumb" rhetoric. Reagan was universally thought of (by leftists) as dumb, as is President Bush. The left can't win the war of ideas so they play the "but we're smarter" card. .....makes 'em feel superior.

Watching FoxNews and proud of it.

I wouldn't soil my television with a CNN production.

CNN's Cafferty pleads guilty to hit-run
Atlanta Journal & Constitution: CNN morning anchor Jack Cafferty pled guilty in a May 14 hit-and-run accident. According to the criminal complaint, Cafferty made an abrupt turn and hit bicyclist Billy Maldonado.

About five people tried to stop Cafferty by running after the car, according to the complaint, but the newsman continued through at least two red lights, while dragging the bicycle underneath the vehicle. Maldonado, 48, who was knocked to the ground, suffered bruises and some bone damage.

Cafferty was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, assault and harassment. He was allowed to plead guilty to a traffic violation: Operating a motor vehicle knowing or having cause to know property damage had been caused. He was sentenced to 70 hours of community service, with six months to complete it, and a $250 fine. He also made restitution.

The complaint said Cafferty told police he saw the bicyclist get off the ground but didn't realize he had hit him. "I am unaware I was in an accident," he said.
Maldonado's attorney Suzanne Holzberg said her client still needs an operation on his right elbow.

Cafferty is "Stuck on Stupid" himself so one presumes that only the like of folk with Journalism degrees (he did graduate, didn't he) are the smartest people in the room.
