It will be interesting to see if the heavy truck market will be as easy to get into by Nissan, If ever there was brand loyalty left here in the US it is in this market.

I don't know about their trucks, but I'm quite impressed with the V6 Altima. When I buy a car (within the next year, hopefully) I've narrowed it down to two possibilities, and the Altima is one of them.

But they're God-awful ugly, worse than the worst of the current US nameplate crop. Yes, I said "crop".

True, BUT Ford at least, has no loyality to it's customers who have been very loyal to Ford. zip - nada - none - zero.

Whenit comes to towing that Ford 250 with the Power Stroke Diesel is going to be hard to beat.
I cant understand why anyone would ant a Nissan full sized Pickup as they dont get any better fuel mileage than Ford or Chevy.

Ford better fix their new Diesel and get in bed with Allison for a BP Automatic Transmission.
The Old Powerstroke was a Gem, this new POS is nothing but piss poor Engineering with more leaks than a '58 Harley.

My husband works at a Nissan dealership and recently bought a Titan - we love it. And neither of us had ever really cared for trucks before. Roomy, comfortable, sharp-looking. Gas mileage is a killer, though!

Neither Toyota nor Nissan had heavy enough trucks for large cargo trailers. Interesting that they finally got into the market. We just bought a Ford F250, but were looking for a used diesel anyway, so we wouldn't have been in the market for a new one anyway.

I hope they "beef up" the brakes, as well.
Nissan recently bought back my brother's Armada
(which is a Titan turned SUV) due to recurring
brake problems. However, kudos to Nissan for stepping up
and doing the right thing.

GARDENA, Calif.--June 2, 2006--Nissan North America, Inc., today directed its dealers to stop selling certain 2006 model year, four-cylinder Altimas and Nissan Sentra SE-Rs because of reports of excessive oil consumption while it continues to investigate potential causes. The condition, if not detected or addressed properly, could lead to the potential for engine damage, or failure which could result in a fire in extreme cases. The National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration has been advised of Nissan's action. Nissan estimates that about 100,000 Altimas and Sentra SE-Rs built between January and May 2006 may be subject to excessive oil consumption. There have been about 215 reports of excessive oil consumption, mostly from rental-car fleets, and 17 reports of engine fires, resulting in one minor injury.

Does anyone else have an Amazon-Women-on-the-Moon moment when they see the name of this truck?
