OLYMPIA, Wash. Activists are planning a monthlong boycott of two grocery stores here after the owners said they won't stock morning-after contraceptive pills.
The controversy may affect business at the two popular Thriftway stores owned by Stormans Inc., but that won't change the policy, co-owner Kevin Stormans said.
"We've made our decision, and it's what we have determined. We're not going to change our position based on what happens. It's not a negotiable issue," he told The Olympian newspaper in Wednesday's editions.

"We've made our decision, and it's what we have determined. We're not going to change our position based on what happens. It's not a negotiable issue," Faith in action; it's so refreshing to see people who stand for something and won't cave in to pressure.

I don't see how any retailer can be forced to stock ANYTHING.

If I lived up in Olympia, I know where my groceries would be coming from for the next month.

It must be nice to be able to sleep at night with a clear conscience, and to not have to worry about being named in a lawsuit if one of your clients dies after taking 'the pill'.
Way to go Ralphs.

What a paradise it would be, truly, to shop in a place that was liberal, democrat free.
Perhaps the store would not be as profitable, but my, how wonderful the clientele would be.

They have a website so we can go to www.stormans.com and make purchases to help support them (I think this will work anyway - not too internet savy - sorry)

"We've made our decision, and it's what we have determined. We're not going to change our position based on what happens. It's not a negotiable issue,"If he sticks with it, the minds of the activists will be boggled. Liberals have no concept of "sticking with" anything."

Activists are planning a monthlong boycott of two grocery stores here after the owners said they won't stock morning-after contraceptive pills. Liberal boycotts always backfire because conservatives rush in to fill the void.

Boycott is fine, legitimate form of free speech. Those who support the stores can do the opposite and make a point to shop there.

Good for them. If they were local to me, I'd do a reverse-boycott.

If you don't like a store policy, this is the way to fight this. I only fear if this boycott fails, some big Government Liberal will introduce legislation to REQUIRE all Pharmacies to carry this pill.
