Sad thing is, US military bases are equally revealing, showing structures, berths, dry docks, vessels, and giving the exact latitude and longitude readings that would make smart weapon targeting very easy. A country without sufficient resource has an on-the-cheap military satellite system for targeting and analysis built into Google earth.

IMHO, the department of defense should require goolge earth to blur out pictures of our vital bases post haste .

Fascinating pictures. Probably more than a year old.

Google shows the JFK carrier parked at Jacksonville Fl. with a F-14 Tomcat on the deck and wings swept back.

One thing a satellite can't pinpoint is the fleet lurking below the sea, which is where we still maintain a huge strategic advantage, smartweapons notwithstanding. Hail to the warriors of the "Silent Service."

I wonder what China is doing in secret?

Nothing good, I'll wager.

When the Varyag arrived in China, it looked like it was in some sad shape. Rusty. Then later photos showed the carrier at dock in much better shape.

Floating casino? Yeah, right! Didn't the Chinese also scrap the HMAS Australia (CVL) and one of the Kiev class CVHG's? Sure bet it wasn't just scrap metal they were interested in.

There's also the CHINESE NAVAL BASE in the LONG BEACH HARBOR.

Technically, it's for China Ocean Shipping COmpany (COSCO - government owned) to share it's treasures with us. Does ANYONE, however, believe that it's not also a potential threat?

>:-(

That's one of my bigger disgusts with the billyblytheclinton destruction of our Great Nation.

Wow, big ships, and did you notice that sea shelf! And were those submarines?

Ah Google, making the world a more difficult place to live. Surprised they haven't rolled over and "protected" these images for their communist masters. Perhaps they'll tirun us in for "googling" them!

Did you know that our government was stupid enough to invite Chinese military personnel onboard our ships during our recent Pacific naval exercises?

Looks like the carrier has a target under a magnifying glass painted on her deck.
