US-led coalition forces in Iraq have found some 500 chemical weapons since the March 2003 invasion, Republican lawmakers said, citing an intelligence report.
"Since 2003, Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent," said an overview of the report unveiled by Senator Rick Santorum and Peter Hoekstra, head of the intelligence committee of the House of Representatives.

Dangifino. It is just some random nitwit happy to be painfully ignorant ;)
My pleasure. Annihilating a blinded Euroweenie in a cloud of ozone is a fairly satisfying way to start the day.
Too bad, though; I am a fan of Formula 1 too. Just wish it wasn't so eurocentric.
"WHY has the Administration waited so long to release and publicize this material?"
I can only speculate that they have looked at how the story would unfold and determined it to be not helpful to their cause. Like several other terror-related stories the last few years.
I've been watching Fox for the last 30 minutes, this story hasn't been mentioned once.
There are all sorts of stories out there, including that we don't want to embarass the French, Russians, Germans who supplied the gas. Or that the Russians helped move the gas to Syria, or one farfetched one that the Russians switched the gas before the canisters went to Syria and took the real stuff back to Russia with them. Others I've heard are that all the info gathered was lost by Centcom in summer 2003 when a hard drive was erased/lost during there move from Saudi Arabia to Quatar, and a February NY Sun article that they are buried in the sand, covered with concrete and soil and flooded to create a marsh.
We can only hope :-)
Never mind that the same lieberals were bleating that we couldn't burn up those Redeye chemical bombs back in the 1980s, even though what was in them was at least as old as what we found in Iraq.
It's just a single link on the Fox website now. It will get covered by Rush today and then dropped, unfortunately.
I guess even though we have now found WMD's, they are not the right WMD's. Go figure.
I keep hearing that one too. I wonder which ones we were looking for.
I think you're exactly right. Every time one of these facts emerges we have some unnamed source surfacing to dispute them. I know this much, Rumsfeld and Cheney aren't going to be outplayed, they are too smart and too battle hardened. A,nd the President is not going to see his mission compromised he has sent men and women to war, giving them the best shot to win is his primary objective.
There are actually two separate fox stations, aren't there?
There's the station which has Hannity and O'Reilly, and another one which is liberal. Or am I wrong? I could swear I have seen two different ones.
I saw that exchange. It was very ugly and he appeared very small.
Thank God for CNN breaking the news! /sarc

True the problem the adminsitration has (like Santorum) is that yes, WMDs were found in old shells, but not the UN inventory of all the thousands of tons of Ricin, Sarin and other chemical stockpiles have not been accounted for (since they are now in Syria.) Therefore, in the lib mindset no real WMD's were found.
The real problem seems to be that Bush is his own worse enemy. He did not standup to support the Yellow Cake claim from the British. He did not stand up to Joe Wilsons lies! He did not stand up to defend the fact that Saddam's chemical inventory was substanciated by over 10 different Governments. He refused to investigate into the weapons being transported to Syria. And why is Santorum announcing this instead of Bush? Like I said, Bush is his own worse enemy (sorry bots, but its true)
Colmes is a visually, repulsive individual... his counter arguments seldom have value.
"Seeking a nuclear program." There are probably only a few dozen countries doing this. In what order do you want to take them out?
Excellent job!
Excellent Essay.
I must take a minor exception with your tagline though... (sorry)
Abortion is to family planning as *murdering your accountant* is to financial planning.
Thanks. I'll take up your criticism with my Tagline Editor, who is currently out of the office. :)
