Democrats: Time's running out to lose!
Regarding Iran, this from the AP:
President Bush told Iran on Monday that nations worldwide won't back down from their demand that Tehran suspend uranium enrichment.
"Iran's leaders have a clear choice. We hope they will accept our offer and voluntarily suspend these activities so we can work out an agreement that will bring Iran real benefits," Bush said a day before leaving for Vienna, Austria, where he will talk with European Union officials who are leading efforts to resolve the nuclear dispute.
"If Iran's leaders reject the offer, they will face action before the U.N. Security Council and progressively stronger political and economic sanctions," Bush said during a commencement speech at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
Regarding North Korea, this from another AP dispatch:
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warned North Korea on Monday it will face consequences if it test-fires a missile thought to be powerful enough to reach the West Coast of the United States.
"It would be a very serious matter and, indeed, provocative act should North Korea decide to launch that missile," Rice said amid indications that the North Koreans could launch an intercontinental ballistic missile at any moment.
Regarding Iraq, yet another AP dispatch said this:
The U.S. military fired on suspected militants from an AC-130 gunship above the insurgent stronghold of Ramadi on Monday while hundreds of U.S. and Iraqi troops punched into an eastern section of the violent city.
The military drive was the latest step by the combined force to strengthen its presence in the neighborhoods that have been no-go zones controlled by the Sunni-led insurgency.
Now, let's turn to another trouble spot -- the Democrat Party. While the U.S. is on offense in Iraq, Iran and North Korea -- the latter two still dues-paying members of the Axis of Evil -- top Democrats in Washington are trying as hard as they can to erase any doubt that their party is the underbelly of America. This should play well in November.
Last week the Democrats had their butts handed to them when the House and Senate soundly rejected Democrat plans for surrendering in Iraq, so Democrats are back for more -- offering another cut-and-run plan. It's almost a cut-and-paste of last week's cut-and-run plan.
Commanders on the ground should determine troop levels unless commanders on the ground disagree with Commander Carl Levin, who's proposing a 6-month timetable to begin a "phased" "redeployment" out of Iraq. Democrats insist this plan is not based on timetables. Withdrawal must begin in 6 months. Which is not a timetable. It's a calendar-table.
Democrats insist it's not a withdrawal plan. It's a "redeployment" plan -- redeploying U.S. forces in Iraq to that major terror hotspot, Okinawa. To teach al-Qaeda a lesson, we could stage a D-Day-like invasion -- storming the beaches of Aruba.
The Democrat principle for deploying troops is simple. If there's violence, we redeploy. Out. If there's peace, we don't redeploy. We stay -- as long as we're not needed, and not a day longer.
Iraq has had three free elections with higher turnout than in America, Saddam's headed for death row, Iraqi forces are kicking Islamist butt and Zarqawi's gone, so time's running out for America to surrender.
Hillary, eying an '08 run, is seeking the "middle ground." She's trying to figure out how to surrender to both sides.
Kerry, eying an '08 run, tried last week to out cut-and-run the cut-and-runners. His proposal called for all U.S. troops to swiftboat out of Iraq by year's end. The proposal swept to defeat -- getting 6 votes. Now horseface says he changed his mind. He's pushing another date for pushing troops out of Iraq: July 1, 2007. 12:01 a.m. EDT. Five-minute grace period being considered.
For months, libbies thought taking back Congress and sending Bush and Cheney to Leavenworth in leg irons and making Nancy Pelosi president was in the bag. Then came a tragic turn of events. Zarqawi croaked. Stockpiles of ethical lapses were found hiding in a Democrat's freezer. Right next to Harry Reid's boxing tickets. Rove is cleared of involvement in the Great Blizzard of 1888. Bu$Halliburton flies to Baghdad to drill for more oil and meet with Carlyle Group/Skull & Bones/PNAC 'Joooos' to plot more 'illegal invasions.'
Amid the pervasive gloom of good news, the only glimmer of hope for Democrats were reports in recent days of two U.S. soldiers kidnapped and murdered by Cindy Sheehan's "freedom fighters." On Monday, before we learned the two soldiers had been murdered, "al-Qaeda in Iraq" posted an Internet message claiming it had captured the soldiers, adding that "we shall give more details" in the "next few days" -- you know, the part where the soldiers each got Bibles and were allowed to pray 5 times a day.
The deadly episode gave Democrats something to crow about. No post- Zarqawi honeymoon for Chimpy! Just wait for the snuff video! Democrats really get off on snuff videos. And broadcasts of the latest U.S. military death toll and how we've reached another 'grim milestone.'
It's why liberals are hot for photos of flag-draped coffins, or images of servicemen wearing that other uniform -- the body bag. They love the troops.
With this whole debate on Iraq backfiring on Democrats, Democrats are livid, angry, resentful. More than ever. They're so livid, Bush would have to erect a monument to Zarqawi at Arlington Cemetery to make them happy again.
Poor, poor losercrats.
Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...
