some of todays youth showed up at my Uncles funeral last week in Shorts and TEEShirts... are they truly clueless or just plane really don't care about anything except themselves???

But they came. If they had really cared only about themselves, they would not have come at all. Today's kids don't even know a lot of the rules baby boomers grew up knowing...sometimes that is a good thing, and sometimes not. But when it comes to dressing casual, I can't get to upset about it. Of course, I think semi-formal is clean jeans and a tee shirt without writing on it. :)

Years ago, when I worked in Funeral Service, we buried a girl who was in my class in high school. Killed in a car accident. Didn't really know her, she ran with a different crowd.
Anyway, her family provided a nice blue dress in which to bury her, but I overheard a lot of people at her service say she'd much rather have been buried in a Harley T-shirt and jeans.

Oh, man, don't even get me started.
My husband's oldest nephew got married last summer. Everyone over 30 was appropriately dressed, like me - a nice pantsuit or dress.
The under-30s were in tank tops, halter tops, jeans, shorts, and flip-flops of the rubber shower variety. I was appalled.

are they truly clueless ... Yes, they are. Parents are to blame for this but the kids are really that clueless.
