Gordon is a good road racer. I think he must have broke a mirror, walked under a ladder, and had a black cat cross his path. He has had very bad luck this year.

Time for my bi-annual rant -- ROAD COURSE RACING HAS NO PLACE IN NASCAR!!! Simple proofs? 1. Quality NASCAR drivers having to go to Boris Said for driving lessons. 2. Car owners kicking their normal drivers out of the car and putting a road race ringer in his place.

If road course racing is so different that changing who sits in the seat for just those races can play a role in victory, then it has no place belonging.

Bring back Rockingham.

Hylton did a couple laps and collected his check. His team couldn't exactly sneak out early though; the haulers won't fit into the tunnel.

Harvick bounced off of Menard a couple times, and sure looked like he got loose before Yellers got to him. The pics of the Navy car on the wrecker didn't turn out as expected.

It drizzled a bit during qualifying; in fact, the drizzle at the start of qualifying helped me get to the tunnel as Stremme started qualifying. Didn't get to Herm, but I got him reacting to the crowd cheers when he got out of the car after qualifying.

Happy and Bow-wow not doing Happy Hour was by design; it got them here in time for qualifying. The rest of the long-distance Buschwhackers had their backup drivers qualify, including Aric Almirola putting the Rockwell #20 on the pole.
