Your lists are fine, but the problem exists that Al Qaida is just one of the Islamist-Salafist-Jihadist terrorist groups that work in cooperation with one another, and have done so for the last twenty years. There is Al Qaida, Egyptian Islamic Jihad, Palestine Islamic Jihad, Gamaat al-Islamiya, a plethora of Algerian groups, Hamas, Abu Sayyaf, Ogaden Islamic Union, Jammah Islamiyya in Indonedsia, Malaysia and Thailand, etc., etc., etc. The Department of the Treasury has listed the terrorist organizations.

In the early 1990s, when their situation couldn't have been better, the many organizatons met at the Popular Arab and Islamic Conference meetings held in Khartoum. Since the last meeting held in 1995 no-one has able to bring together the various terrorist threads, although both Saddam Hussein and the Iranian government tried.
