Somehow, "abduction" doesn't seem adequate to describe that number of people being taken.

How on earth would factory workers deaths help the terrorists cause. This makes no sense to me.

I think this may be the work of the Iraqi version of the Teamsters, more than Al Queda.

Sadly, this is what happens when you don't have enough cops (coalition and Iraqi troops) on the street.

In that situation, you don't go with them. You force them to open fire because the other option is probably worse.

That's because their on-site journalists are probably helping the terrorists load the dead bodies into some pit.

The Iraqi gov't needs to wake up their populace and let them be armed. If the gov't can't protect everybody all the time, the people need to be capable of protecting themselves. A small armed band facing 80 Colt 45s would feel different than a small armed band facing 80 unarmed civilians.

Factories are decadent western inventions of the crusaders and an insult to Islam.

And in Florida we had guards opening fire on others at a prison when authorities arrived to arrest some prison guards.

"How on earth would factory workers deaths help the terrorists cause. This makes no sense to me."

The terrorists have found they can't intimidate Americans, so the next best thing is to make the Iraqis fearful enough to tell the Americans to go home.

Sort of like the liberals telling all of their "victims" that the conservatives want to starve school kids, etc. because true conservatives won't back down.
