Official says father's view on gays didn't spark fight (David Parker insulted by Superintendent)
Boston Globe ^ | June 20, 2006 | Maria Sacchetti

Lexington's school superintendent yesterday denied assertions that a first-grader was beaten up on a playground last month in retaliation for his father's campaign to stop the school from teaching his son about homosexuality. School officials, citing interviews with the children involved, said the fight actually started over where students would sit in the cafeteria and then spilled onto the playground. The student, the 7-year-old son of David Parker , who filed a federal lawsuit in April over the teaching of homosexuality in school, was punched several times during the May 17 fight. ``These were two first-graders having a child squabble on a playground," said Superintendent Paul Ash . ``Some adults are exploiting these children for political purposes." The playground fight ballooned into a School Department inquiry after a Waltham-based parents' group, MassResistance, alleged that a group of children pounced on the boy on the two-year anniversary of the legalization of gay marriage. According to school officials' investigation, one child hit Parker's son two to four times during recess, and the boy fell to his knees as about five students watched . A teacher's aide intervened. The child who hit Parker's son was sent to the assistant principal's office, where he wrote an apology and was denied recess for two days. Parker's son and the boy have since had a play date, Ash said. School officials contacted authorities, who declined to investigate, Ash said. Parker said he was unconvinced that the fight had nothing to do with the outcry. He said other students have talked to his son about the issue. Parker was arrested last year when he refused to leave Estabrook Elementary School without a guarantee that his child would not be exposed to teachings about homosexuality. In April, he filed a federal lawsuit over the issue.

Well, liar, I HAVE done my own research and you know it. But you don't like articles from the Boston Globe because it doesn't comport with your version of reality.

Your petty threats of zotting everyone who doesn't agree with you on these threads is pathetic.

Absent evidence to the contrary this seems like a schoolyard fight. My advice to Mr Parker, teach your son how to defend himself and forget the play date crap.

Agree. He needs to get his son into boxing or something immediately.

It may have to do with the fact that you are not a persistent trolling visitor to homosexual agenda topics always arguing for the homosexual agenda by arguing against reality...

I'm only aware of one homosexual agenda poster who searches the internet constantly finding homosexual articles and who posts many such articles each day, and who in spite of no ability to argue, tries to argue against reality. In fact, I'm guessing that poster has never been on anything but a homosexual thread...in years. Kinda strange, dontcha think?

Sounds like a HATE crime to me. But then the anti-humans do not do hate crimes so the left says.

Just curious as to why you say this. If this were true, why would third graders want to be taught about homosexuals? I just don't understand this whole situation. Some how the older kids beat this first grader because the father complained about being taught about homosexuals? I would think that he would be treated as a king. I think the kids were just picking on each other on some unrelated subject and got into a fight. I just don't see how it could be hate crime. I don't know anyone who would beat up a kid over NOT being taught about homosexual activity. In fact, I would be happy not to have to learn another subject (at that age). Maybe exempting that class would have added to recess. Damn that would be a popular stance.

The Parkers have assembled a strong legal team to handle the criminal case and a civil suit they plan to file against the school system...

I actually think he might lose. I wonder why he did not leave when he was told to. I still find something missing here. To get a restraining order against someone don't they have to have some proof of "bad behavior". I guess I just don't know how all this came to be a hate crime when it happened long ago and in the story they left Lexington, but the kids got in a fight. I am just confused. Help!!! I am trying hard to be on Parker's side, but these chop stories here and there just does not help.

I have no doubt you note my unapologetic and objectively evident efforts. I do not need to slither around picking and choosing from the scraps of moral relative potentialities... LOL I will leave you to the David Parker sand box you are contained within -enjoy your castles...

ROTFLMAO

Calling me a liar does not help you out in any way -let me help you out here -- "research on your comrades" means checking their posting history -NOT checking leftist publications LOL (IF you do not know how to do this then just state as much and I will assist)...

Your petty threats of zotting everyone who doesn't agree with you on these threads is pathetic.

Actually YOU do not agree with me on this issue so clearly your statement is false... What you call pathetic is quite effective (only David Parker and Paul Cameron topics now contain the trolls -they have been effectively contained and weeded out from the other discussion topics) -ONLY the very very few remaining sleeper trolls would disagree and I work on containing these leftist scounderels each and every time they troll...

Public Schools SUCK! I have done well in spite of my public school education. And for those who have that one teacher that plugged into you and turned yourself around, good for, it never happened to me.

The biggest tragedy I have seen in my life is the evisceration of the Catholic School System. Public Schools continue to cost more and gobble up too much of the tax base until it got to a point where people could not afford to send their children to the catholic schools. And isn't it ironic that public funds have been shut off to catholic schools by the "Know Nothing" Catholic hate legislation from the 1920s. The so-called people that love everybody and preach "Diversity" love this hate law because it shuts off the Catholic schools.

Absolutely. I know exactly what you are. In fact you have been featured on a few other conservative sites. You have a tendency to amuse folks.

I do not need to slither around picking and choosing from the scraps of moral relative potentialities...

No, you slither around in only one little sandbox. The conservatives here, other than trying to contain this embarrassing side of our Party, do take an interest in the Party and the Country.

How is it you think we all know you NEVER post on anything else but homosexual threads?

As to your zotting threats, it's clear they are empty impotent threats since you're so unsuccessful.

People rarely join the David Parker threads anymore because it's of little interest now that his bogus story has been full exposed by those of us you have threatened to get zotted for posting the truth.

And what's so funny to so many of us is that the very people you call "pro homosexual activists" would have to include the House and Senate Republicans who didn't pass the Marriage Amendment Act.

The few freepers who thought, along with the majority of Republicans, that a Marriage Amendment wasn't needed were constantly called "troll" and impotent threats of "I'll have you zotted" were made every other post of yours.

But keep up those threats. We're getting a kick out of just how impotent you really are.

Hehehe.

You know, with that mindset, Dbeers must be terribly upset with House and Senate Republicans who refused to sign on to the Marriage Amendment Act.

In his worldview, they must be, hold onto your hat, "Homosexual Activists". LOL

Actually if you imply that you are involved in a concerted effort to harrass then you too would eventually get zotted... Just follow homosexual agenda topics and continue engaging to see how long you can last in such an illegitimate campaign...

Excuse me? You wrote to me. And are you threatening to zott freepers on these threads who don't agree with you or are you not?

Why yes. Yes, you are.

And as long as you threaten my friends or me, I will call you on it whenever I choose. And if you want to call that harassment, you'd better look in the mirror at what you're doing with your petty, impotent threats.

And as I said, with your worldview, you must think the Republican Congressmen who didn't sign onto the Marriage Amendment Act are "leftist homosexual activists", since that's what you call everyone who disagrees with you about this issue.

If true, no doubt they are disgruntled zottees that you commiserate with and will eventually join ROTFLMAO --Care to post some links or is this claim too but a fantasy? As to your attempted personal attacks -key word, attempted...

--something other than a personal attack --then feel free to ping me to your sand box when and if you EVER can post just one quote and link substantiating your claims that I have repeatedly asked and got nothing on...

Never a personal attack, unless attacked first. I leave that to your friends who can do nothing but attack. In fact, I would love to engage in a substantive discussion of this and other issues. You've still not said explicitly what you want referenced. If you are referring to the Article 8 report, it does quote Mr. Parker, who gave them the interview. Since Parker, and only Parker could have been the source, it is up to him to vet the story or to object to anything said there. Once he chose not to, it is his story. In any case, you said you agreed with it completely. Is that your question?
