There is a virtually unlimited supply of "wannabe" Profs in every non-mathematics related academic area. Abolish tenure. Turn the Leftists out to seek real work. At least one third of the universities in this country could be shut down tomorrow and no loss to anybody. Use the physical plants as hospitals and geriatric communities. Rebate the tax savings to the people and to provide GI benefits for our veterans.
